International Tab

Use this tab to specify language, country, character set, and related information, for an OS/400 user.

The fields in this tab are listed below:

Language ID

Specifies the language ID used by the system for this user. When SYSVAL is selected, the system value QLANGID will be used to determine the language ID.

Country ID

Specifies the country ID used by the system for this user. When SYSVAL is selected, the system value QCNTRYID will be used to determine the country ID.

Character Code Set ID

Specifies the character code set ID to be used by the system for this user.

Character Identifier Control

Specifies the type of coded character set conversion that occurs for display files, printer files and panel groups. Possible values are:

Locale Path Name
Locale Path Name: *SYSVAL

Specifies the locale path name that is assigned to the user profile when a job is started. When SYSVAL is selected, the QLOCALE system value is used to determine the locale path name.

Locale Path Name: *NONE

No locale path name is assigned.

Locale Path Name: *C

The C locale path name is assigned.

Locale Path Name: *POSIX

The POSIX locale path name is assigned.

Locale Path Name: Set

Select the Set button to assign a locale path name.

Locale Path Name: text box

After selecting the Set button, assign a locale path name here.

Locale Job Attributes

Specifies a list of attributes that are set from the locale path name when a job is started for this user. Possible values are:

Sort Sequence Table
Table: *SYSVAL

Specifies the fully-qualified, integrated file system path name of the sort sequence table used for string comparisons. When SYSVAL is selected, the QSRTSEQ system value is used to determine the sort sequence table.

Table: *HEX

Specifies the fully-qualified, integrated file system path name of the sort sequence table used for string comparisons. When HEX is selected, the hexadecimal values of the characters are used to determine the sort sequence table.

Table: *LANGIDSHR

Specifies the fully-qualified, integrated file system path name of the sort sequence table used for string comparisons. LANGIDSHR is a shared-weight sort table associated with the language specified.

Table: *LANGIDUNQ

Specifies the fully-qualified, integrated file system path name of the sort sequence table used for string comparisons. LANGIDSHR is a unique-weight sort table associated with the language specified.

Table: Set

Select the Set button to assign a sort sequence table.

After selecting the Set button, assign a sort sequence table here.

Library

If *LIBL is selected, the library list is used as the location for the sequence table library. If *CURLIB is selected, the current library is used as the location for the sequence table library. You can also set the library manually by entering the location of the sequence table library in the text box.
