Endpoint Tab

Use this tab to:

• Register an Oracle Applications endpoint when you are creating it. When you register an Oracle Applications endpoint, CA Identity Manager locates the server and gathers information about it.
• View and modify the properties of an endpoint that has already been created.

  Note: For a list of minimum privileges required to take full advantage of the CA Identity Manager Oracle Connector, see Required Oracle Administrator Account Privileges.

The fields for this property sheet are listed below:

Endpoint Name

Specifies the name of the endpoint, when creating a new endpoint object.

Size/Type: 100 / String

Restrictions: The following characters are not allowed: / \ [ ] ; : | = , + * ? < > @ ( )

Mandatory: Yes

ODBC Comments

Specifies the description of this endpoint.

Size/Type: 128 / String

Restrictions: None; any characters are permitted.

ODBC Data Source Name (DSN)

Specifies the ODBC data source name (DSN) that this endpoint object will use to connect to the Oracle Applications database. The value must be the one used in the ODBC configuration applet on the host running the C++ Connector server.

Size/Type: 128 / String

Restrictions: Only ASCII characters are permitted.

Mandatory: Yes

Database User Name

Specifies the account used when connecting to the database. The database user must have the appropriate privileges to manage the Oracle Applications tables.

Size/Type: 128 / String

Restrictions: Only ASCII characters are permitted.

Mandatory: Yes

Database User Password

Specifies the password for the database user. This is the password required to successfully connect the user to the remote database using ODBC.

Size/Type: 256 / String

Restrictions: Only ASCII characters are permitted.

Mandatory: Yes

Administrative Database Name

Specifies the name of the Oracle Applications administrative database used when managing Oracle Applications.

Default: APPLSYS

Note: We recommend that you use the default database name, unless your database is already set to use a different name.

Size/Type: 100/String

Restrictions: Only ASCII characters are permitted.

Mandatory: Yes

Application Database Name

Specifies the name of the Oracle Applications database to be used when managing Oracle Applications.

Default: APPS

Note: We recommend that you use the default database name, unless your database is already set to use a different name.

Size/Type: 128 / String

Restrictions: Only ASCII characters are permitted.

Mandatory: Yes

Applications User Name

Specifies the account used when managing Oracle applications. You can use any user that has already been created in Oracle Applications and that has the System Administrator standard responsibility.

Default: ETAAPP

Size/Type: 128 / String

Restrictions: Only ASCII characters are permitted.

Mandatory: Yes

Applications User Password

Specifies the password for the Oracle Applications user. This is the password required to successfully log in to the Oracle Applications.

Size/Type: 256 / String

Restrictions: Only ASCII characters are permitted

Mandatory: Yes

Oracle NLS_LANG Environment Variable

Specifies the Oracle Language variable in order to override the system default, if necessary. This causes the Agent to reset its environment variable (NLS_LANG) to this new value, overriding the system default, if the PC host is configured differently from the target database.

Oracle Applications Restrict Connector to Use AOL Calls Only

Specifies that the Oracle Applications connector uses AOL calls only.

Specifies the default account template. Click the Browse button to search and add account templates.
